Who We Are:
The Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center, also known as “The Heart of the Home” was founded in 1921, and it serves the same purpose today as it did then… helping to enhance the quality of life for the residents and to make the residents more comfortable.
Through fundraising, the Auxiliary has purchased much needed items such as defibrillators, bladder scanners and patient care lifts. They have also supplied televisions, motorized beds, and many other items for the care of the residents. The Auxiliary also sponsors birthday parties for the residents once a month.
During the year, the Auxiliary has several different functions for members. It’s a great way to meet other women from the community and show your support of a wonderful cause. Our Annual Donor is our premier fundraising event of the year. This past year we hosted a Virtual Tea Party and raised an impressive $10,000, which will go toward upgrading and renovating the JHC Beauty Salon.
Membership Opportunities!
- The auxiliary has over 800 members, 85% are Life Members and 160 are Associate Members. Help us continue to grow by joining today!
- Annual Membership is $25.00 per year, or $225.00 for Life Membership.
- There is also a one-time $72.00 Life Membership for men.
- By becoming a Life Member, you will receive our very popular The Jewish Home Cookbook (while supplies last), and a bronze plaque with your name will be permanently installed on the Life Member Auxiliary wall in JHC’s lobby.
