Aging Life Care Professionals® can be a very valuable resource for persons sometimes referred to as ‘solo seniors,’ who do not have any immediate or available family, (i.e., may never have married or had children, are widowed and never had children, or live at great distances from adult children or other family members). We can provide guidance about how to structure your paid support network so you can rest easy with the knowledge that you will receive the type of care that you want, need and can afford. Often, we function in the role of being ‘pseudo-nieces’ in that we visit on a regular basis, set up and coordinate services as needed and take on the role of accompanying you to your medical appointments, visiting during hospitalizations and function as overall advocates.
